OpenMed Association and MaPE – University of Cagliari, with the support of ASCAME, CCIA-BML, CEEBA and Re.C.O.Med, and the contribution of Fondazione di Sardegna, organize the “Design your MED initiative!” – Euro-Mediterranean Cooperation Summer School that will be held in Cagliari, Sardinia (Italy) from the 27th June to the 1st of July 2016. MAIN OBJECTIVES The course aims at improving exchanges of competences and relations between public and private representatives of Mediterranean organizations interested in co-operation programs and projects. The idea is, in particular, to present and share the main skills and direct experiences related to Euro-Mediterranean projects and start the design of new project proposals that can be submitted under current and next funding opportunities. The main objectives of the Summer School are: improve competences and relations of individuals interested in Euro-Mediterranean cooperation share the Euro-Mediterranean projects experiences among participants and trainers start the concrete design of proposals under the new Euro-Mediterranean funding instruments METHODOLOGY During the Summer School, Project Cycle Management and Logical Framework approaches will be used as main working tools. The working approach is based on the “learning by doing” methodologies (i.e. drafting a project idea). Furthermore, an official Project’s Assessor experienced in European Programs will highlight strengths and weaknesses of each proposal. TARGET GROUPS Representatives of Euro-Mediterranean organizations; Public and private officials and experts (junior, intermediate and senior) from Euro-Mediterranean countries. EXPECTED RESULTS at least 25 – 30 participants trained on planning of co-operation projects in the Euro-Mediterranean funding opportunities framework; at least 4 new Euro-Mediterranean project proposals elaborated (“Concept Notes”).
